We model our designs in two and three dimensions to find the shapes and joinings that speak clearly and well. Each piece of wood is hand-selected for Pulse Requisite furniture and sourced to sustain the environment. Solid wood is fsc certified or urban or agricultural salvage. Joints are engineered to the highest quality with mortise and tenon, doweling, threaded rod, toung and groove, and other durable techniques chosen according to the needs of the design not the limitations of high volume fabrication. Our distinctive curves are achieved with bent laminations, steam bending, and cut and carved solid wood. All veneering is hand done and lipped with solid wood. Even the choice of glues is carefully made. From hide glue to epoxy, we pick what's best for the environment and the balance of the piece. Our furniture is finished in Liberon finishing oil or a water based lacquer. Cutting boards are finished in an organic cold pressed linseed oil.
